John
Reece, President
John is responsible for the overall strategy and operations
of the company as well as its execution and delivery
of offerings to the marketplace. With a combined experience
in Executive Management, Sales, Finance, Consulting,
and Programming, he has worked to solve financial and
business analysis issues for clients of all shapes and
sizes. Prior to founding WayQuest, John served in executive positions in a business intelligence consulting
firm. Before this, he worked with several early stage
companies as an interim CFO supporting strategic and
financial initiatives. John earned his sales stripes
at Hyperion Solutions Corporation, utilizing solution
selling principles to negotiate large business performance
management solutions across major industries and various
market situations. John started his finance career at
IBM Corporation, with experience in revenue and expense
planning, strategic portfolio analysis, software royalty
and cost accounting, inventory planning, manufacturing
and overhead planning. John earned his Bachelor of Arts
in Mathematics / Computer Science from Samford University
and his Master of Business Administration from the Stern
School of Business at New York University.
Jim Hummel, Vice President
Jim is responsible for the general management, alliances and partnerships of the company. Jim has an established record in managing technology projects, sales initiatives and is also an experienced executive manager. He combines broad technology and business consulting skills with a good understanding of people. Prior to joining WayQuest, Jim served as Administration Director for Skanska ID in North America. Before this, he served several years as a Regional Sales Manager for an Oracle consulting firm. His earlier career included many years of business application programming experience, as well as managing other sales and marketing product initiatives. Jim has served as a member of several technology advisory boards and also served as an Adjunct Professor at SMU's Cox School of Business. Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas in Austin and his Masters of Computer Science from the University of Texas in Arlington.
